About Me

Hello! My name is Ross Bourdeau, and I am a seventeen-year-old mountain biker and high school student from West Hartford, Connecticut. I go to Watkinson School, a private school in Hartford, Connecticut. At Watkinson, I am currently in my senior year and am  currently furthering my learning in the dual diploma program I am part of called "Global Studies."  The Global Studies program allows students to develop critical skills and engage global citizens. This website is dedicated to everything I do related to the program, whether adventures, protests, religious events, forums, or public speaking events; you name it, this is the place it will be. I go on for Global Studies and the travel and events I partake in outside school.

As I mentioned, I am an avid mountain biker. I love the community, sport, and freedom that mountain biking offers me. I am going on my third year of mountain biking and am just as, if not more, in love with the sport as I went on my first ride. I love being able to escape the world on two wheels and just go for a ride. although mountain biking is my favorite getaway, it is also one of my favorite ways to help others. I am currently an ambassador for a company known as Mutt Society which allows me to tie my passion and my activism together. Mutt Society gives back to the community that is beloved by the owners, team riders, and ambassadors alike. We give bikes away every month and run "mission trips" to countries with small communities for mountain bikers, spreading the sport to those who don't have access or the money for it. Our current mission is in Romania, where we are currently funding the development of world-class trails, hoping to make Romania a bucket list destination for mountain bikers, giving a major economic boost to the people of Romania.

Other than mountain biking, I just love people. Every chance I get, I will listen to someone tell a story, talk about politics and challenge my own personal beliefs.
